What's wrong with having an affinity for one style of watch? (Views: 7)

Maybe I'm an old fart-in-training, but I don't see anything wrong with having 4 watches really closely resembling each other if ya like 'em.
Not a blessed thing! That's not what I see as the frain bart.. (Views: 4)

..'tis the fact that it honestly never occurred to me to take a RickyWatch Group Shot for ~ 5 years! It's like watching your children grow up, but never taking a family portrait.. Oops! My goof! Scary! Crazy, man!

Right, I suspect all we WIS are that way, to a degree. And, I've said it before, and not to toot me own horn or anthin' but.. Well, while I know the case style of the RickyWatch will not be everyone's cup, there's no way I could not love it, creation of me own feverish mind that it is. Laughing!

So four or five examples is about right, I reckon.. R O T F L M A O !!!!

Just because you've assembled such a stunning Omega collection ( and Omega is the Watch Of Old People, as P12 tells us R O T F L M A O !!!! ), doesn't mean you're the Senior WotM here! I am angry!!

Which is kind of the point with this one, after all. Laughing!

Just swapped on a bracelet but, again, a move which totally changes the character of the watch. Thumbs Up!

This is the last of the (super nice!) Ti bracelets from Watchband.biz I had in reserve, so it's really helping to close the page on the RickyWatch series.. well, almost. I've got one more unused case left to bore you guys with... R O T F L M A O !!!!

The more I look at it, the more I think it channels the spirit of the Jaèger LeCoultre Mark XI to which it pays homage..

..better than any other RickyWatch currently in rotation. Never mind the fact that such a thing as a white-dialed Mark XI doesn't exist. Crazy, man! R O T F L M A O !!!!

You know, I've been wanting to pick up such a strap for the longest time. I am confused...

I think it'd look pretty darned good, too.. reckon I need to get off me duff and order one up. Laughing!

Thanks!

Y'all have kinda sorta seen it before, as I posted a photo..

..detailing the fortuitous find of a vintage hi-dome acrylic crystal back in March. I kinda sorta wanted to put a handwind movement in it, but I didn't have anything on hand I was willing to cannibalize.. Wink, wink ...

So, last evening I got tired of waiting and took this'n..

..and gutted it of the timekeeping works. I wasn't really wearing it, and as a bonus this provides some "closure", since this was the sole remaining Watch-It of the lot of 25 I bought for use as ebauches in the original batch of RickyWatches. Wink, wink ...

Lucky thing that first photo makes the nature of the crystal apparent..

..as none of this morning's quick 'n' dirty photos reveal it. I am sad...

I'm gobsmacked by what a huge difference the domed acrylic crystal makes in the look and feel of the watch! Seems a totally different animal compared to it's flat-crystaled brethren.. and am diggin' the slightly vintage cut of the dial & hands jib.

Actually, the distortion of the 5 through 8 scream hi-dome to me.
Seems to me that a suitable hand winder might be found that would fit in there. Sometimes you see Unitas in smaller ligne sizes on the bay.

Oh, I've got a couple that would fit. A Timex, and I think I could even shoehorn the UTC 29C from the D'Orsay in there. But, as I mentioned, I'm not quite ready to cannibalize either one. Laughing!
