Well.. actually, "Plan" is a Big Fat Lie. Oops! This wasn't planned at all, really. Blushing After all, I was quite happy with the braided nylon tropic this one's been wearing, and wasn't looking to change it. However, while searching through the junk box meticulously cataloged cache of spare bracelets on Bro. RR218's behalf I stumbled across it and something clicked. No sooner imagined that done! I am pleased to present..

All in all I'm pretty chuffed. The light gauge matches the size of the Five perfectly, and the mesh totally transforms the character of the watch. For the better, IMHO!

The endlinks are telescoping uni-fits, but since they must be compressed to their minimum size to fit The Five, it looks almost OEM. The bracelet starts out at 18mm, and tapers to 16mm at the clasp. Plenty long enough too, as it fits me with ⅜" (9.7mm) to spare.

WooHOO! It's a happy day, a new watch arrived

I gotta admit it wears Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr8! Cool

So. Thank you! kindly Bro. Marcel for providing the impetus that resulted in this serendipitous discovery.

Cheers!

Sweet! Looks wonderful. I have to ask though where you were able to get the mesh?
In the batch of watches I recently bought, I found one half to a mesh (looks like yours) and now I desperately want to source a complete one to strap around my wrist. Thanks!

Alas, I can recommend no specific seller for that exact rig. I came upon the bracelet in a very similar way - got in in some job-lot of parts and/or fixer uppers, and it's been languishing in The Boneyard for many moons.

That being said, our Banner Sponsor Strap Code.com offers one that's very similar. I own several..

Tunchoy Watch

..and recommend them highly!

Note that eBay seller SeikoPrince is the very same company, as was (is?) "Tungchoy"...

But Good Kit, under any name.

Thank you! for the kind words, gents. Sometimes..
..what I personally consider "a hot combo" is not so well-received by the Phorum At Large. Wink

Looks like this is a rare case where we all agree. Laughing

Thanks again me brothers!

I think mesh looks great when the ends are finished, OR >>
>>when a hooded lug hides the springbar. This combo does both! Big Thumbs Up from me.
