Timex Basic Handwind

I sort of consider Timex to be the quintessential American 'everyman's watch', and decided I needed a vintage mechanical example of the marque. I bought this one in January of '05 off  , for the princely sum of $12 (including shipping). It came on a period Speidel Twist-O-Flex, which was too small for my wrist (naturally!), and I swapped on a generic Chinese bracelet:

It's in quite decent shape, with the worst flaw being a deep scratch near the 10 (The scratch, oddly enough, doesn't seem to show up in photographs, yet is quite evident to the naked eye). While it's not one of my most-worn watches, I am fond of it, and it's been a stalwart little watch. Here are some recent photos:
